We know buying a handmade quilt is a little different from buying something mass-produced. Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often.
Are your quilts handmade?
Yes. Cheryl’s Quilts offers handmade quilts created with care and attention to detail. Because each quilt is handmade, small variations in stitching, fabric placement, and pattern are normal and make each quilt unique.
Will my quilt look exactly like the photos?
We do our best to photograph each quilt accurately. Colors may appear slightly different depending on your screen, lighting, and display settings.
For quilts made with patterned fabrics, the exact placement of the print may vary slightly from the photos.
What size quilt should I order?
Quilt sizes can vary, especially with handmade quilts. We recommend checking the measurements listed on the product page and comparing them with the bed or area where you plan to use the quilt.

How should I care for my quilt?
Machine wash in cold water using a gentle cycle and mild detergent. Avoid bleach and high heat.
Tumble dry on low heat or lay flat to dry. Some slight puckering, softening, or shrinkage after washing is normal and is part of the character of a handmade quilt.
Can I use my quilt every day?
Absolutely. Our quilts are made to be used and enjoyed. With proper care, a handmade quilt can provide many years of use.
Do you make custom quilts?
Custom quilt availability may vary depending on Cheryl’s current workload and the type of quilt you are looking for.

How long does it take to make a custom quilt?
The amount of time required depends on the size, design, materials, and current workload. We will discuss an estimated completion time with you before beginning a custom order.
Are custom quilts returnable?
Because custom and personalized quilts are made specifically for you, they generally cannot be returned unless there is a defect or an error with the order.
How quickly will my order ship?
In-stock items are typically processed within 1–3 business days.
Once your order ships, tracking information will be provided when available. Delivery time will depend on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout.
Can I send a quilt as a gift?
Yes. Handmade quilts make wonderful gifts for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, new babies, housewarmings, and other special occasions.
If you are ordering a quilt for a particular date, please contact us before ordering if you are concerned about delivery time.
What is your return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery as long as the item is unused, unwashed, and returned in its original condition.
Unless an item arrived damaged or we made an error with your order, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Original shipping charges are not refundable.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please contact us as soon as possible. If possible, include photos of the item and packaging so we can determine what happened and help make it right.
