Sometimes it’s the fabric, and sometimes it’s the pattern that calls to me.  Whichever it is, it either comes together quickly, or it might take a while. I have a few themes that keep appearing: cats, owls, music, holidays and seasons.

I’m Cheryl Young, quilter and fabric lover. I learned to sew from my mother; sewing ran in both sides of my family. It was my grandmothers who gave me an appreciation and love for quilts. One Grandma quilt went with me to college, and then it was passed on to a son. It is now in its repair stage so that it can continue to be used.

I’ve watched family , friends, and guests enter my studio and head for a particular quilt that seemed to call to them. I love that my quilts touch lives!
